Where to Find Partisan in Escape from Tarkov

This one's scarier than those Cultists.

Escape from Tarkov’s bobby-trapping specialist, Partisan, has been terrorizing players in certain maps. This stealth boss approaches enemies in complete silence and sets traps for everyone. Some players may take 100 or more raids before they can find him, but there’s a way to increase those chances. Here’s how to find Partisan in Escape from Tarkov.

How to Find Partisan in Escape from Tarkov

To find Partisan, you have to know a few mechanics introduced in Escape from Tarkov’s 0.15 patch. They added PMC Karma to the game, where players have a good or bad reputation, depending on their activities. Players who have low PMC Karma will get hunted down by Partisan more frequently. Since PMC Karma is permanently tied to your character, starting a raid with a low PMC Karma will increase the chances of spawning Partisan in the raid.

If a whole raid lobby has multiple players with low PMC Karma, it’ll be highly likely that Partisan spawns in that raid. You don’t really have control over the other players with low PMC Karma joining the raid, but you can invite some friends to a group to increase the chances.

After learning about these mechanics, you can still only find Partisan in forest-like maps. Here are the following maps where Partisan spawns:

  • Customs
  • Lighthouse
  • Woods
  • Shoreline

Note: There have been multiple instances of him spawning in the dorms area in Customs.

Partisan spawns everywhere in these maps because, technically, he’ll start hunting down PMCs the second the raid starts. This means that his location is extremely erratic, and since his footsteps literally don’t make a sound, everyone should be extra cautious at all times. Players already have to be cautious of other PMCs and Scavs, and what more if you add a boss that constantly roams around in complete silence? Since Partisan plays around tripwires, it adds a whole new level of stress.

Partisan’s Loadout or Loot Rewards in Escape from Tarkov

Like all Tarkov bosses, Partisan has a great arsenal of weapons to play around with. These loadouts make him powerful but, at the same time, attract PMCs hungry to get his gear. Here’s the list of weapons he can spawn with:

  • AVT-40 with 7.62x54R SNB or BS ammo
  • AKS-74 with 5.45×39 BP ammo
  • AK-103 with 7.62×39 PP ammo
  • AKMSN with 7.62×39 PP ammo and a GP-25 underbarrel grenade launcher
  • AKMS with 7.62×39 BP ammo and a GP-25 underbarrel grenade launcher
  • MP-133 shotgun with Flechette or 7MM
  • MP-43-1C double-barrel shotgun with 7mm buckshot
  • APS 9x18PM pistol with SP8 ammo
  • F-1, RGD-5, and VOG-25 grenades

He also has a unique Partizan’s Bag that may contain some useful loot. He also carries some AFAKs and Golden Star Balm at times.

His best loadout would be the AKMS with 7.62×39 BP ammo, which is one of the strongest ammo in the game. It also has a GP-25 underbarrel grenade launcher to add a bit of spice. However, there are so many loadouts he can spawn with so it is very unlikely to find this type of loadout on him. Even if he spawns with an AKMS, it can have 7.62×39 PP ammo instead. The next best loadout, which is as strong as the AKMS, is the AVT-40 with 7.62x54R SNB or BS ammo. Both ammo will tear any player, even with the best armor.

To get more chances to find Partisan, you can try the Marathon mode and travel from map to map through the transit locations.
