Firestone is a rare Ore in Monster Hunter Wilds that you can mine and use to craft armor or weapons with the fire status effects. If you need to find some Firestone, then you have come to the right place. Here is how to find Firestone in Monster Hunter Wilds.
How to Find Firestone in Monster Hunter Wilds
The most common area to come across Firestone is in Mining Outcrops in the Oilwell Basin, which you will find on the Detailed Map. However, you won’t find them lying on the floor but on the side of the walls in a rock-like structure with blue crystals growing inside them. They are rare, and you will only have a chance to find them in Oilwell Basin.

To look for Mining Outcrops in any region, open the Detailed Map and press the corresponding button for the option in the bottom left corner of the screen. Navigate to Filter Icons to display a filter. Scroll down till you see Mining Outcrop in the list. It will show the nearby Mining Outcrop locations on the map. Scroll to the right to go through all the available Mining Outcrop locations.
If you have already looted from an Outcrop, a cooldown timer will appear next to it, meaning you cannot gather from that Outcrop until the cooldown ends.

Set a waypoint on the Mining Outcrop you want to visit and head there. All you need is a bit of luck, and you will come across Firestone Ores in that Outcrop. You will not need any pickaxe or other tool to collect the Ore. Go next to the Mining Outcrop and press the corresponding button to loot Firestone. You will be able to get three ores per harvest and will have to wait 15 minutes for them to reappear.
You can also get an extra Ore if you let your companion harvest first and then gather from the Outcrop afterward.
And that is all you need to know about where to get Firestone in Monster Hunter Wilds. For more guides like this, take a look at how to fast travel in the game.
