Slime Rancher 2 has numerous slimes you can bring to your farm and feed in exchange for plorts. While some, like Pink Slimes, aren’t worth that much, you can make a lot of money from others. One that sits comfortably in the middle is Fire Plorts, which you can get from Fire Slimes. Where to Find Fire Slimes in Slime Rancher 2
If you guessed that Fire Slimes like fire, you’d be right. While you’re not going to find large, roaring fires in Slime Rancher 2, you will find a region full of lava! That’s right, your destination for finding Fire Slimes is Ember Valley.
If you haven’t unlocked Ember Valley yet, you’ll get the teleporter after feeding the Pink Gordo in the northern part of Rainbow Fields. After the Gordo pops, interact with the teleport unlock node and travel to the newly opened teleporter. You’ll make your way to Ember Valley, where you can begin searching for Fire Slimes.
After stepping foot into Ember Valley, head west until you reach an area with dark stone and lava. In this western half of the region, you’ll find lava pools with Fire Slimes. In particular, you can check the following places for them:
- In a nearby cave, you’ll find a few lava pools that have a couple of Fire Slimes
- Travel through the lava area until you reach a section with palm trees. Lava in this area frequently houses Fire Slimes.
- Small pools in the lava area occasionally have one or two Fire Slimes scattered around.

Once you’ve picked up some Fire Slimes, make sure you build an incinerator and buy the Ash Trough attachment. Unlike most slimes, Fire Slimes don’t live in corrals but instead reside in these ash troughs. As they eat the ash, they’ll drop Fire Plorts, which you can manually pick up and either toss into the Refinery or sell for Newbucks.
