Slime Rancher 2 Increase Energy

Once you upgrade your jetpack in Slime Rancher 2 for the first time, you can fly over gaps and ascend mountains that you couldn’t before. While this sounds overpowered, there is a major obstacle. You’re limited by how much energy you have, and after reaching zero energy, you’ll start falling. While fall damage isn’t a concern, it can get frustrating if you’re close to reaching a new area but can’t quite get there yet. You can increase your energy by upgrading your Power Core at the Fabricator. To find the Fabricator, head towards the staircase next to the Plort Market and follow them until you reach the underground laboratory. You’ll find the Refinery and Fabricator here. While the Refinery is a crucial part of this, we’ll focus on the Fabricator for now.

In your Fabricator, you’ll find various categories containing different gadgets and upgrades. In the Upgrades tab, you’ll find the Power Core and material requirements. To make the Power Core, you need the following resources:

  • Newbucks x450: Sell plorts at the Plort Market and crack open Treasure Pods
  • Cotton Plorts x10: Feed cotton slimes and pick up their plorts. Feed them Water Lettuce to get double the plorts!

After upgrading the power core for the first time, you’ll gain an extra 50 energy for 150 total. However, you’ll have to progress through the story, speak to NPCs through the Comm Station and open treasure pods for more upgrades. For example, the Power Core II requires the following materials:

  • Newbucks x900
  • Cotton Plort x20
  • Batty Plort x10
  • Primordy Oil x10
  • Jellystone x10
  • Power Chip x1 (Obtained through a Starlight Strand Treasure Pod)
