Where to Find Emergency Power Cells in Starfield

Back to Vectera is an early, but important mission that tasks you with finding Barrett. Using three Power Cells, you will need to reboot a Comms Computer to discover his whereabouts. Continue reading to discover where to find the emergency Power Cells in Starfield.

Emergency Power Cell Locations in Starfield

There are five known emergency Power Cells during the Back to Vectera mission. They are hard to spot so we have outlined where we found the Power Cells below:

1. Inside the Comms Computer building, on a shelf in the first room.
2. Inside the Comms Computer building, on the MedBench you woke up on.
3. On a table near the large Loading Robot next to Supervisor Lin.
4. On the other side of Lin, next to the storage crates and containers.
5. Talk to Supervisor Lin and ask for a Power Cell.

Blue quest markers will also mark the Power Cells as you find your way through the Back to Vectera quest.

Once you have the three Power Cells for the mission:

1. Head inside the Comms Computer building marked with the quest marker by turning on the switch outside the doors, followed by the switch inside the hallway.
2. After entering the building, run through the first two rooms and turn right to find three power receptacles before placing your emergency Power Cells inside.
3. Doing this restarts the Comms Computer, allowing you to enter the final room and access the files telling you Barrett’s location.

After learning Barrett’s location, you’ll be one step closer to completing the Back to Vectera mission.

Power Cell Item ID in Starfield

If Power Cells locations are bugged, or you are not up to walking around to find the Power Cells, you can always open the Console Command and enter in the Power Cell Item ID number. The emergency Power Cell Item ID number is:

• 000ECCED

Using the Console Command in any way will disable achievements since the game will see it as cheating. So, beware of this when deciding to give yourself any items including emergency Power Cells in Starfield.
