When Does Alan Wake Release in Dead by Daylight? – Release Date

When does Alan Wake emerge from the Fog?

Alan Wake has seen quite the revival over the past year, and his entrance into the world of Dead by Daylight is right around the corner. Find out when you can take control of Alan once again, this time, in a new fight for his life.

When Will Alan Wake Be Available in Dead by Daylight?

If you’re playing on PC and want to take Alan Wake for a spin, you can do so right now by downloading and trying the Public Test Build of Dead by Daylight. However, if you’re playing on console or don’t want to lose out on any progress, you’ll need to wait until his release on January 30, 2024.

If you’ve never partaken in a PTB before, you should know that any progress that you make playing on either side will not carry over to the main game, so it’s mainly a chance to test out all of the recent changes that have been made to the game more than anything else. This is a great chance to give The Hillbilly a try, alongside seeing what Alan Wake may bring to the table, especially with the unique set of perks that he’s bringing to the game.

While it may be a bit of a change going from the fairly heavy action of Alan Wake II to the more stealthy approach of Dead by Daylight, it’ll be very exciting to see what kind of different builds players can throw together with Alan’s unique set. I’m assuming we’re about to see a surge of Killers using Lightborne, to be quite honest.

Unfortunately, while console players may not be able to participate in the PTB, the wait is rather short for Alan Wake to finally emerge into the Fog. We’ll just need to continue waiting patiently to see where he stands on the loudest and quietest survivors list, but keep your eyes peeled on our Dead by Daylight section below to learn more about the game and get ready for his arrival.
