What is the Best Reactor in Starfield? – Answered

The heart of your ship deserves some love.

When you’re building your ship in Starfield, you’ll naturally want to pick the best ship modules for the job. Outside of Credit constraints, why would you choose something that’s worse over something that’s better? To that end, you might be wondering what’s best to have as the core of your ship. Here’s what the best Reactor is in Starfield.

If you want the absolute best Reactor in terms of stats for your Starfield ship, then the Pinch 7Z Reactor is going to be your best bet. It sports nearly the highest generated power for your ship, offers best-in-class repair rate for ship modules, has a massive amount of health, and offers those three Crew slots. However, there’s a lot more to think about when it comes to the choice of Reactor.

Each Reactor determines the class of your ship, being either Class A, Class B, or Class C. Class A ships are focused on being small and mobile, making them best for going fast. Class C ships are best at being hulking tanks of destruction. Where they lack in movement and size, they make up for with superior firepower and excellent Cargo Hold potential. Class B stands as a middle ground between the two if you don’t want to lean one way. It’s because of this system that you’ll want to choose the best Reactor for your desired style of ship.

The Best Reactors For Each Ship Class

With that question answered you might be wondering what the best Reactor is for each ship class. That can be found below:

While certain stats may not be the absolute highest of their class, their strengths in other areas help them excel to the top of the pack. It’s worth noting that some of these parts do require levels in the Starship Design, as well as Levels 3 and 4 in Piloting if you want to go beyond Class A.
