There are five classes available to use in Diablo 4 and each one offers unique benefits that the others lack, but only one of them can be considered the best. After seeing what the end game has to offer, I can cover what the best class in the game truly is, and why it stands out among the rest.
Which Class is the Best in Diablo 4?
The Barbarian is currently the best class in Diablo 4. Not only is the Barbarian incredibly versatile, but it also has some of the best late-game options across the board. After other classes such as the Necromancer took some fairly heavy hits to effectiveness, the window was left open for another bruiser to take over.
In the current state of Diablo 4, there are two ways to look at class effectiveness. There are classes that are good for leveling up, and there are classes that are good for late-game content. The Barbarian can be tough to level up to to 50, especially as you piece your build together. However, the brute warrior turns into the best option once World Bosses and World Tier 3 content come into play.

Late-game content is tough to complete due to the sheer amount of damage and crowd control that enemies have. Barbarians can take damage and easily negate crowd control with shouts and skills like Whirlwind. What makes the Barbarian the best class in Diablo 4 is that it also eventually gains the damage to go along with the survivability.
Other classes are still viable, but they may require more tuning in terms of builds and some extra attention to detail within a fight. If you choose to go with the Barbarian in Diablo 4, then check out our guide on how to change the Arsenal Selection and make use of multiple weapons.
