What Does the Pedometer Pin Do in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth? – Answered (FF7)

The true marker of a resort town is a Segway plague

Wheelie around enough in Costa del Sol, and you’ll snag yourself a Pedometer Pin. Here’s precisely what that Pedometer Pin does in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (FF7).

What the Pedometer Pin Does in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

Once you dock in Costa del Sol, you’ll quickly be confronted with the preferred mode of transport. Segways, called Wheelies, are absolutely everywhere. And as someone who lives in a beachy tourist town, I can say that this detail is a little too true to life.

Speak to the attendant in the Tourist Booth, and you’ll find that you can get a slew of rewards from wheeling around town, including a Pedometer Pin. The further you go, the more rewards you can get. The last reward, the Pedometer Pin accessory, can be obtained at 4,000 meters and when equipped will give you 100 gil per 100 steps you take. Yes, that includes “steps” taken while on your Wheelie!

That makes it a very low-effort way to get Gil, which can feel scarce if you’re not selling off your more common resources. Just slap it on your least favorite battle companion that’s still always in your combat trio and forget it’s there for a while.

And if you need to find an easy way to grind up those Wheelie steps, head to the very south part of Coasta Del Sol, to the nearly abandoned pier where the Shinra-8 is docked. You can do laps here without getting interrupted by passersby and obstacles.

Once you’ve hit 4,000 meters, return to the Tourist Booth in the center of town and let them know. You’ll get all the previous rewards along with the title “Wheelie Master.” And now when you pass by people, they’ll occasionally exclaim, “It’s him! The Wheelie Master!” in utter awe.

But if that’s not enough of an ego boost, find out how to complete the Cards Del Amor Challenges.
