There are five animals that you will see that appear in certain areas of Forgotten Valley.

These are as follows:

  • Chihuahua
  • Lizard
  • Owl
  • Tanuki
  • Turtle

The animals will be rotated through with only a single one appearing on any individual day. When you see one spawn, it will give you good luck in a certain area. This means that you should make the most of each spawn.

ChihuahuaProvides you with increased luck at the Archeological dig site. You will have a higher chance of digging up rarer and more expensive items.

OwlProvides you with increased luck when you fish at the fishing spot at the Harvest Goddess Pond near the Harvest Sprites house. You will have a higher chance of catching both rarer and bigger-sized fish.
TanukiProvides you with increased luck when you fish at the fishing spot at the lower part of the river, closer to where the river runs into the ocean. You will have a higher chance of catching both rarer and bigger-sized fish.

While these benefits are not exactly game-changing, they are worth taking advantage of if you were planning on fishing. You may as well fish in the area that is currently providing a higher chance for better quality fish. The same goes for digging in the Archeological dig site when the chihuahua is present. Gold items are fairly valuable and Van will definitely take those off of your hands.
