We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie – How to Get the Platinum Trophy

Make the King proud!

We’re so back. Or rather, Katamari is so back. We Love Katamari is, without question, the best game in the series. This sequel was the last original creator Keita Takahashi was involved in, and you can feel the passion and vigor with which it was developed.

Personally, I’ll be devouring every scrap of We Love Katamari Reroll, which means getting the Platinum Trophy on PlayStation. But how difficult (or easy) is this feat? Let’s find out.

We Love Katamari Reroll Platinum Guide

The We Love Katamari Reroll Platinum is incredibly easy to achieve – it involves the following (generalized) steps:

Complete every stage – Pretty straightforward, just remember some stages have multiple variations, so be sure to revisit them until you unlock the Trophy for each one.

Roll up every Cousin – these are playable characters found within stages. They’re usually hard to miss, but in exactly one level you’ll need to be playing as a previously unlocked Cousin to see a new one. Play as Ace in Soccer Kid’s level to access Cousin Slip. Levels with multiple Cousins will need to be completed and then played again to unlock each one.

Roll up The King and The Queen – Found in the Elephant & Bird level, you’ll need to be about 3,000m to roll up each one. Good luck!

Roll up a lot of stuff – Fill out your Collection as much as possible, and roll up 1,000 and 2,000 types of things, respectively, to unlock the last two trophies. Remember: when rolling up a new item not yet in your Collection, the text at the bottom-left of the screen will have a rainbow coloration.

Complete all these general tasks and the Platinum is yours! There are no score requirements, so take your time and pace yourself! Remember, to complete the Dog level, you’ll want to beat every other level first so you have enough planets to roll up the Sun. The Dog appears early, but don’t waste time trying it until you’re near the end. Some new stages appear after the credits roll (heh), so be sure to stick around to complete those too!
