Should You Kill Faelin or Faerin in Remnant 2? – Answered

Depending on which way your dial was facing when you encountered the new king of the Faelands, you encountered either Faelin or Faerin. These kings are two sides of the same coin — one light, one dark. And when you encounter them, they will insist you kill their doppleganger.

But which of these two is the correct choice? Who is the imposter, really?

The answer is… they’re both impostors and the genuine article all at once. Because they’re the same person, caught in different versions of the fae land. And to kill one might give the other brief respite, but you’ll ultimately sundering them from part of their soul.

But that doesn’t matter. What matters is that you get different loot depending on which one you kill. Here’s the possible loot choices:

Rewards for Killing Faelin in the Beatific Gallery

  • Imposter’s Heart – Traded to obtain Deceit in Ward 13.
  • Faerin’s Sigil – Critical and Weakspot Hits generates 10% additional Mod Power.
  • Deceit – Long gun.
    • Mod: Ouroboros. Conjures 3 sword fragments that encircle the wielder for 30s. Performing a Melee Attack lets loose a Fragment which taints the blood of targets, causing all attacks from Deceit to register as Weak spot hits for a short period. Charge Melee Attacks fires all remaining Fragments at once.

Rewards for Killing Faerin in the Malefic Gallery

  • Melded Hilt –Traded to obtain Godsplitter in Ward 13.
  • Faelin’s Sigil – Melee Damage generates 10% additional Mod Power.
  • Godsplitter – Melee weapon.
    • Mod: Fracture. Charge Attacks taint the blood of targets, causing all attacks from Godsplitter to register as Weakspot hits for 2s seconds. Duration increases with additional fragments. Max 35s.

Which do you prefer? Personally, I opted for Godsplitter. And not just because it looks cool, though that was a big part of it.
