RuneScape is slowly expanding its universe, this time RuneScape: Dragonwilds, an all-new, standalone co-op survival game set in the regions of Ashenfall. You don’t have to know anything about RuneScape to get into this, and the early access release is slated for Spring 2025.
While the release is still a bit away, the developers have shared some technical details of the early access release. Here are the complete system requirements for RuneScape Dragonwilds.

The developers have not shared any target resolution or frame rate, but from the looks of it, RuneScape: Dragonwilds is not a demanding title. If we assume that the recommended settings target 1080p 60 FPS, then you’ll be fine with an RTX 2070 paired with a Ryzen 5 3600.

It’s light on storage size as well, and you only need 25 GB of free space to install RuneScape: Dragonwilds. On the lower side, you can expect some form of experience on the GTX 1060 as well, provided you have the 6 GB variant along with a Ryzen 5 1600. I’m assuming this is likely to target the 30 FPS experience at 1080p.
Outside of that, 16 GB of RAM is recommended, which is the standard amount of RAM you need in 2025. I wouldn’t play on anything below that. Jagex has not confirmed if the game will have upscaling technologies like DLSS or FSR, but we expect those to be in the release, like any other modern PC title.
You can learn more about the upcoming title during the first deep-dive livestream for RuneScape: Dragonwilds, scheduled for April 15, 2025, at 5 PM BST. For now, you can add the game to your wishlist on Steam. The Steam page also confirms that RuneScape: Dragonwilds is launching in early access sometime in Spring 2025, and they aim to keep the game in for about a year.
