While plenty of Remnant 2 players will be going through the game alone, joining a friend can make the adventure that much better, but the lobby sizes aren’t limitless. To help you choose the friends you’ll take along with you, I’ll go over how many players can play co-op and how you can join them in Remnant 2 when you’re ready.
How Many Players is Remnant 2 Co-op?
Three players can play in Remnant 2 co-op worlds at a time. This is the standard party size for many of the other looter shooters on the market, with the most popular being Destiny 2. Having three players in a co-op party just happens to be the sweet spot for tension and balance within a world full of loot and dangerous enemies.
Of course, you can always play with just two people in a squad as well, so don’t feel like you have to have three members in the party just because that’s the max. The difficulty will typically scale with the party size as well. Whether you are in the solo campaign or grinding through with your friends, the difficulty should level out.
How to Play Co-op in Remnant 2
If you decide that you want to have a squad of three running around the Labyrinth, then it’s time to get some invites going. Open up the menu and scroll over to the system tab all the way to the right. From here, you can invite any friends you have, and you will also be able to customize whether the game is private or public.

You can also join a friend’s Remnant 2 world instead. Keep in mind that all current progress in the world is tied to the host. Anyone joining that world will keep all the loot they find but none of the story progress along the way.
