One of the many brainteasers has been whether Nintendo will be adding Pokemon Stadium to Nintendo Switch Online and when, if they are. If you’d like to learn more about Pokemon Stadium and its arrival on Nintendo Switch Online, you’ve come to the right place.

Firstly, What is Pokemon Stadium?

For those who don’t know and have just started their pokemon quest, Pokemon Stadium is a strategy video game developed by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64, first released in 1998. It revolves around the OG Pokemon titles Red, Blue, and Yellow.

When’s Pokemon Stadium Coming to Nintendo Switch Online?

The year earmarked for the arrival of Pokemon Stadium is 2023 and the exact date has just been announced. At first, the only meaningful info released with the brief public statement by Nintendo is that you’ll still not be able to import your teams from any other Pokemon versions.

While that was the major upset in this discussion, some fans believed Stadium and Stadium 2 would support Pokemon transfers from other versions. Other rumors and fan discussions were hell-bent on the fact that Nintendo would drop Pokemon Stadium and Stadium 2 on Pokemon Day. However, they were wide off the mark and it never transpired.
