Primal Rumblings

Starting on February 22, Trainers can jump into the new Primal Rumblings event ahead of the Pokemon GO Tour: Hoenn event later this week. Up until March 1, there will be a new Collection Challenge for Trainers to complete that contains some decent rewards as well.

Some Collection Challenges take just a few minutes to complete while others have some additional tasks such as evolutions or trades. This event has a collection that leads toward the latter. We’re going to outline the full Primal Rumblings challenge in Pokemon GO and the rewards that go along.

Primal Rumblings Collection Challenge & Rewards – Pokemon GO

This collection is based on starters from the Hoenn region in celebration of the Hoenn Tour that will go live on February 25. The Vegas version of the event has already ended and now it’s time for the Global tour. To get ahead of the game, we have the full Collection Challenge listed below.

Primal Rumblings Collection Challenge:

  • Catch a Treecko
  • Catch a Torchic
  • Catch a Mudkip
  • Evolve a Grovyle into Sceptile
  • Evolve a Combusken into Blaziken
  • Evolve a Marshtomp into Swampert
  • Rewards: 10 Ultra Balls and 1 Rocket Radar

The first half of the challenge is by far the easiest. All you need to do is catch each of the Hoenn starters to check them off the list and move on to the second half. To complete the rest, you don’t technically have to evolve the starters you caught. If you already have their second forms, you can evolve those. However, you’ll still need 100 candies for each to complete the evolution and the Pokemon GO Primal Rumblings Collection Challenge.
