Pokemon GO March Events – Legendary Raids, Mystery Events and More

If you’re someone who’s enjoyed the absolute glut of things to do in Pokemon GO in February then you’re likely going to be even more stoked by what The Pokemon Company is offering in the month of March 2020. We’ve had a peek of the upcoming calendar of what’s available for us going forward, and we have to say that we’re pretty stoked for some featured events as well as the return of Team Rocket and their sinister ambitions (not only because it’s going to bring a Shiny Skorupi to the game too!).  Here’s the list of the things that you can look forward to, arranged by when they’re going down chronologically:

  • Thundurus Raid – March 2
  • Team Rocket Global Takeover – March 6
  • Darkrai Legendary Raid – March 6
  • Altered Forme Giratina Legendary Raid – March 13
  • Cobalion Raid – March 20
  • Lugia Legendary Raid – March 27
  • Psychic Spectacular Event – March 27
  • Mystery Weekend Event – March 20

As you can see, there’s plenty going on to be excited about. One cool thing about the myriad of Legendary raids available this month is also the fact that you’ll be able to pick up shiny variants of those Pokemon. We’re talking Shiny Darkrai, Shiny Altered Forme Giratina, and more. For those who are gunning for a Cobalion and a Lugia, the versions caught during those raids will know special moves: we’re talking Sacred Sword and Aeroblast respectively. How cool is that?

Now that you’ve got our primer on the Pokemon GO March events that are ready to go down, we hope you’re as pumped as we are to get cracking. We’re especially looking orward to our chance to pick up a Shiny Darkrai in the March 6 raid that’s going to be hitting our phones very soon, but we’re also pretty stoked about the Mystery Event that will be going down on March 20. We do so love research tasks, and we’ll be sure to let you know when The Pokemon Company has released more information about this. Need a hand with anything else in Pokemon GO?
