Palworld: Can You Fix Sound Quality on Xbox Series X|S? – Answered

Why is the sound so bad on consoles?

While Palworld may be a great game, players may be experiencing some issues with sound quality on the Xbox release of this Early Access title. Is there any way to fix it, or is it something you’ll just have to deal with?

Can I Fix Palworld’s Sound Quality on My Xbox Series X|S?

As you can hear in the clip posted above, captured on my Xbox Series X, the sound quality doesn’t sound the best. It’s much more apparent in the actual game compared to clips captured on the console, but there is still a clear difference compared to even the PC Game Pass version of the game.

Currently, no fixes are available, but there may be a few explanations as to why.

Why is Palworld’s Sound Quality So Bad on Xbox Series X|S?

After downloading Palworld on my Xbox, I was surprised to see that the game was clocking in at a total of 6GB, when I’ve been hearing about how massive it is. After downloading it on PC, however, I noticed that the overall size was 16GB, which leads me to believe that the Xbox version of the game is much more compressed than its PC counterpart. This would explain why some of the texture work isn’t up to par with the PC version, alongside the audio issues that are currently plaguing the game.

Thankfully, outside of these issues, the game is perfectly playable in its current state; it’s just not exactly the most pleasant to listen to. As it’s currently in Early Access, we can expect to see various fixes being pushed shortly. We can only hope this is high on the priority list, as it can be slightly jarring to hear the audio quality of the Xbox versions compared to its PC counterparts.
