Old God Borderlands 3 Legendary Shield Guide
Alright – why would you want a bit of Cthulu in your life? Well, okay, that’s probably copyrighted but what we’re referring to in case it wasn’t already glaringly obvious from the headline is the Old God Borderlands 3 legendary shield. For those unacquainted with this new Hyperion treasure, it appears in the Guns, Love and Tentacles DLC. The Old God’s special weapon effect is called “The end comes from within” and it lets you do 20% increased damage for the element that the shield spawns as resistant against. It also gives you 25% damage reduction against all elements in general, making it perfect for those enemies who are too savvy to rely on merely blasting your head off.
Essentially, the Old God also spawns with four buffs, including two fixed ones that are a part of its elemental resistance and damage increase stats. You’ll benefit from either boosts to Shock, Radiation, or Cryo in terms of elements so this is a pretty diverse thing to add to your arsenal. If you’re curious about where to actually get the Old God from, well, we’ve got the answer. You can pick it up from essentially any enemy that’s part of the Guns, Love and Tentacles DLC, or any loot source that’s part of the DLC. You can kick open every door that you find in the new DLC locations to get it, or farm one particular boss if you choose. It’s really up to you. However, it’s just going to come down to perseverance.
So now that you have our guide on how to get the Old God Borderlands 3 legendary shield, it should be a little bit easier for you to actually pick one up as an owner of the highly-anticipated Guns, Love and Tentacles DLC. If the barrage of cool loot coming out of the content hasn’t quite convinced you yet, why not check out the first 12 minutes of gameplay for this second wave of DLC content to see just how explosive everything can be in action before cracking into it.
