MultiVersus Lunar New Year Event Guide

That is certainly toast dressed up in a rabbit costume

A new holiday, a new event in MultiVersus. This time it’s for the Lunar New Year, so there’s a host of new Chinese-flavored goodies to buy. Unfortunately this time there aren’t any gameplay gimmicks, which is probably a good thing. After all, we’re just wrapping up grinding holiday cookies for skins, and that Ugly Sweater Superman wasn’t easy to get. But here’s how the Lunar New Year 2023 MultiVersus event works, or at least here’s what you can get.

MultiVersus Lunar New Year Event Guide

First of all, it’s worth noting that there are login rewards involved. But since today (January 17) is the last day of the Festivus event, we aren’t gonna see what those are yet. We’ll update this post tomorrow once the login rewards go live. In the meantime, you can actively purchase all the goodies. There’s a selection of profile images you can buy with coins, and some premium cosmetics requiring Gleamium as well.

You can get the following Rare Profile Icons in the MultiVersus shop, priced at 3,000 Gold coins each:

  • Guardian
  • Lucky Rabbit
  • Lunar New Year ‘23
  • Toastie Lunar New Year ‘23

Now for the premium items which cost real money-slash-Gleamium:

Longevity ‘23 – Epic Banner – 350 Gleamium

Lunar Rabbit – Epic Ringout – 1200 Gleamium

Red Guardian Reindog – Rare Variant – 800 Gleamium

And that’s a wrap for all the new items you can get for the 2023 Lunar New Year event in MultiVersus. It’s a more modest event compared to the first two, but that makes sense considering we’re looking at one event transitioning directly into another. And as we’ve seen with the larger events, there’s a good chance these items will be sticking around in the shop for the foreseeable future. So there’s no need to worry about FOMO if you already spent your fun money on the Festivus skins.
