Deadpool's ready to ignite the battle.
Season six of Marvel Rivals is upon us, ushering in a new season themed around a Night at the Museum with one of Marvel’s most iconic faces. Deadpool has arrived, and so have many other exciting additions and changes with the season six patch notes.
The first update of each season is always quite large, which means it can be tricky to review everything it entails. If you’re eager to ensure you don’t miss out on any of the exciting details, here are the patch notes for season six of Marvel Rivals, arriving on Jan. 16.
Season 6 Marvel Rivals Patch Notes

Here’s everything that has been revealed for season six of Marvel Rivals so far. New details may become available leading up to the launch time for season six, so as any additional information becomes available, we’ll add it here.
New Hero – Deadpool
Deadpool is here, and he’s ready to unleash chaos. With the Dev Vision that aired on Jan. 13, he was officially revealed to be the first-ever three-in-one character, with the ability to make him a Duelist, Strategist, or Vanguard as you see fit.
- As a Duelist, he’s got dual swords and dual pistols that allow him to dish out effective damage.
- As a Vanguard, he’s got a unicorn plushie that can give out shields.
- As a Strategist, his pistols and katanas can be used to heal his allies or deal damage against foes.
Regardless of how you play him, you’ll be able to level up Deadpool over time, similar to, in Deadpool’s words, “nerdy RPGs.” You’ll gain XP and help him become a “true server admin.” His ultimate ability also charges faster depending on how fancy you fight.
New map
A new location to explore, which is called the Museum of Contemplation, is arriving this season. It’s a Convoy map that will debut on Jan. 29, a little over a week after the season officially begins.
Photo Mode

In season six, photo mode is arriving as a new feature you can use while playing in Times Square. This fancy mode will let you adjust your camera angle, apply different filters, use emotes to pose, and otherwise set up and capture some perfect shots.
The Clobberin’ Club
On Jan. 29, a new area called The Clobberin’ Club will open in Times Square. At this location, you can challenge other players to duels. If you pay some Units, you can have your battle broadcast on the big screen in Times Square.
Hero Proficiency Upgrades
The hero proficiency system is being massively expanded, so there are now plenty more prizes to claim along the way and after reaching Lord on characters. This includes items like Dynamic Avatars, Unstable Molecules, exclusive Sprays, Nameplates, Titles, Nameplate Frames, Units, Badges, and much more.

New Accessories
Additional Accessories are on the way, giving players even more ways to customize their favorite heroes. All of the new Accessories are arriving with Deadpool on Jan. 16. These new items are for:
- Deadpool – Jeff Accessory
- Rogue – Cat Maid Gambit Accessory
- Doctor Strange – Clea Accessory
- Blade – Brielle Accessory
- Squirrel Girl – Galactus Accessory
- Iron Man – Tony Stark Accessory

New Team-Ups
The two new Team-Ups arriving in season six are:
- The Parker Power-Up Team-Up with Peni Parker as the anchor and Spider-Man as the receiver. When activated, Spider-Man receives a Web Bomb. When activated, it starts a countdown. If Spider-Man throws the bomb before the countdown ends, it deals damage to the surrounding area and applies Spider-Tracers to the affected enemies. If he doesn’t throw it, he gains a Web-Cluster charge and some bonus health.
- The Mr. Pool’s Interdimensional Toy Box Team-Up with Deadpool as the anchor and Jeff the Land Shark as the receiver. When activated, Jeff spits out a toy that sprays water around, healing allies and creating a distracting VFX featuring Deadpool drawings for any foes within the radius.

Team-Up Changes
There are just two small Team-Up changes in season six.
- The Ever-Burning Bond Team-Up between Spider-Man and Human Torch is removed.
- Peni Parker is leaving the Rocket Network Team-Up with Rocket Raccoon and Star-Lord.
