Marvel Rivals offers four distinct types of achievements, each requiring players to put in effort to earn their rewards. Some achievements demand significant time and dedication, such as eliminating a specific number of players using a hero’s ultimate ability. Others, however, are much simpler—like performing an emote on a throne to unlock an achievement. In this guide, we will take you through the steps to unlock the Histrionic Perfection achievement in Marvel Rivals.

How to Unlock the Histrionic Perfection Achievement in Marvel Rivals?

To unlock the Histrionic Perfection achievement in Marvel Rivals, you first need to load into the Royal Palace Yggsgard map. This map is part of the Domination game mode. Once you are in, head to the center of the map, opposite the capture zone.
From the capture zone, look for the stairs that lead upward. These stairs will take you to a grand, golden throne room located at the heart of the map. The throne room is massive and visually striking, with corridors at either end leading to the spawn zones for both teams.
To earn the achievement, step onto the throne itself in Yggsgard and perform any emote you are currently equipped with. By default, you should have at least one emote available, so use whatever is handy. Once you have done this, the Histrionic Perfection achievement will be credited to your account.

Keep in mind that you will not receive immediate confirmation of unlocking the achievement. Instead, you will need to finish the match first. Afterward, go to the Career page from the main menu, and check the Achievements tab to confirm.
Important Tip: If you perform the emote on the throne and then quit the match early, the action might not count toward unlocking the achievement. To avoid this issue, we recommended to complete the match before exiting to ensure your progress is saved.

How to Emote
If you’re new to Marvel Rivals and unsure how to use emotes, here’s how you can do it on different platforms:
- On PC: Press the T key on your keyboard.
- On Xbox Series S/X or PlayStation 5: Press the left direction on the D-pad of your DualSense 5 or Xbox controller.
This action will open the communication wheel, where you’ll find one spray and one emote equipped by default. Simply select the emote from the wheel to use it.
Where is Throne in Yggsgard in Marvel Rivals?

The throne in Yggsgard can be found in the Royal Palace during a Domination match in Marvel Rivals. This map typically appears after you have completed the first round of the match, which also follows the Domination format and takes place on the Bifrost Garden map.
If your team wins the first round, you will most likely advance to the second round, which is set in the Royal Palace.
Sometimes, the Throne Room map triggers as the first of three maps, with Odin’s Archive and Bifrost Garden appearing in sequence after it.
Histrionic Perfection Achievement Not Unlocking in Marvel Rivals

Many players struggle to unlock the Histrionic Perfection achievement in Marvel Rivals, and there are two common reasons for this.
First, some players mistakenly perform an emote at the capture zone, believing it fulfills the achievement requirement. However, the emote must be performed specifically on the throne in the throne room at the center of the map.
The second issue is related to a potential bug in the game’s achievement progression tracker. Even when players correctly emote on the throne, the action doesn’t always register, preventing the achievement from unlocking. This might be caused by the throne’s hitbox failing to detect the emote action properly.
If you encounter this issue, try standing in different spots on and near the throne while performing the emote repeatedly. With a few attempts, the achievement should eventually register and unlock.
