Is the Fusion Suit in Metroid Prime Remastered

Is the Fusion Suit in Metroid Prime Remastered?

Is the Metroid Fusion tribute still in there?

Metroid fans have been asking for a remaster of the Prime games for a long time. Although many rumors have been circulating since the Wii days, it was only now after February’s Nintendo Direct that the Metroid Prime Remaster was suddenly announced… and immediately released digitally. Talk about a shocker! And while we still don’t have any news about the remasters of the other two sequels, nor the long-delayed Metroid Prime 4, the surprise of this remaster certainly promises a better future for this series.

Fans are already enjoying Metroid Prime Remaster a lot, but some may also be wondering how much is actually new in this re-release, as well as whether the Fusion Suit is in the game. Let’s find out.

Is the Fusion Suit in Metroid Prime Remastered?

The answer is: we don’t know, for now. The game dropped on February 9, 2023, and the Metroid Fusion GBA version was announced as one of the titles to be added to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass later – maybe the Fusion Suit will be unlockable when Prime Remaster recognizes the save file from the GBA version on Switch? It remains to be seen. Until then, enjoy the Metroid revival!

But why are people even wondering if the Fusion Suit from the Game Boy Advance game, Metroid Fusion, is in this remaster? Well, because the suit was in the original game from 2002 – in a way. If you had Metroid Prime on GameCube and Metroid Fusion on GBA and connected both consoles with a GBA cable, you could unlock the Fusion Suit in Metroid Prime.

Since the GBA cannot be connected to the Nintendo Switch no matter what cable you have, the question remains – is this suit still in the Remaster version, and can it be unlocked in another way? Like, in the Wii re-release of the game, it was possible to unlock the Fusion Suit from the Extra section of the Bonus Gallery after you beat the game once. But will it be same in the Remaster?
