Slay the Spire 2 launches into early access very soon and will stay in that form for a while. The original title eventually made its way to several consoles and mobile devices. What about the sequel, though? Here is everything we know about Slay the Spire 2’s mobile release.

Will Slay the Spire 2 Be Released on Mobile?

Slay the Spire 2 will not be launching in early access on mobile devices.

It’s only coming out on PC through Steam. The original Slay the Spire came out of early access in 2019, with iOS and Android releases in 2020 and 2021, respectively. For the sequel, I’m assuming that development for these devices will start near the end of the early access period, which is expected to run till 2027.

Slay the Spire is a massive hit across all platforms, but the developers are currently focused on making Slay the Spire 2’s early access the best it can be. Just like the mobile version, the developers haven’t provided a timeline for the console release just yet. This is what they said on Reddit during an ama last week:

The Steam page has an FAQ as well, which addresses the mobile and console release, confirming the same information as the AMA:

What platforms are you planning to release StS2 on eventually?
As many as possible, but console and mobile versions likely won't release until after the Early Access period is over.

I’m confident they will do a mobile release down the line, given how popular the original is on both iOS and Android, where it has over one million downloads.

That said, Slay the Spire 2 runs great on the Steam Deck according to the team, and if you need to play the title on the go during early access, the Deck and similar PC handhelds should be ideal.

Slay the Spire 2 Release Date

Slay the Spire 2 is launching into early access on Steam on March 5, 2026. Check out the release date trailer below:

For the sequel, I really hope that there are crossaves for Slay the Spire 2 between platforms. I regularly play Slay the Spire on my Android phone, but there is no parity with my Steam progress. While there is a way to move save files around manually, it’s not ideal, especially with the type of game this is.
