Is Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Releasing on Xbox? – Answered

Can Xbox gamers get in on the fun?

Getting to don the iconic Spider-Man suit is something we’ve all dreamed of, and Marvel’s Spider-Man games are the closest we will likely get to feeling as powered up as possible. Swinging through New York City, either on a mission or just to relax and unwind, feels fantastic, and fans around the world can’t wait to get their hands on this one. However, will Xbox players get the chance to join in on the fun, or will they need to join the Dark Side and purchase a PlayStation 5 if they’re hoping to see what all of the hype is about?

Can You Play Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on Xbox?

Unfortunately, much like the first two entries in this series, you will not have the chance to partake in this adventure if you’re playing on Xbox. Insomniac Games is a Sony Entertainment subsidiary, meaning that console games will likely stay exclusive to the Sony family of consoles for the foreseeable future. While they may have come out swinging on the Xbox with games like Sunset Overdrive, it seems that the web-head is going to stay on the PlayStation for quite some time.

Even when it came to less-than-stellar games like Marvel’s Avengers, Spidey stuck close to the PlayStation family, with his DLC pack being exclusive to that console family. However, if the past has taught us anything, there is a chance that we can experience this adventure on our PCs of all places in the foreseeable future. So, at least we can play the game with our favorite controllers, if nothing else.

While it’s a shame that we may not get the chance to jump into this adventure on our Xbox consoles, you can still keep up with all things Spider-Man in our section below. Be sure to learn about what versions you should pre-order, and find out if there is any way to jump into New York early.
