With the hype for Spider-Man 2 being bigger than the tallest skyscraper in New York City, fans are eager to get back into the suit once again to take down the baddies they’ll encounter in their adventure. However, with a variety of different pre-order bonuses, players may be wondering if there are any perks to getting their hands on the Deluxe version of the game, or if the coveted New Zealand trick will work on their PlayStation consoles, so they can jump in and fight some crime earlier than everyone else. Is there any way that you can play Spider-Man 2 early, or will you need to wait for the game to officially launch before hopping in?

Does Spider-Man 2 Have Early Access?

Unfortunately, no matter which version of the game you get your webbed hands on, you’re not going to have the opportunity to jump into this version of New York any quicker than anyone else. Both the Digital Deluxe Edition and the Standard Edition unlock at the same time, so there is no Early Access period for this particular title.

However, if you’re hoping to get your hands on some exclusive goodies, you’ll still definitely want to get the Digital Deluxe or Physical Deluxe edition of the game, as there are plenty of items that are only available to those particular players. While it’s a shame that Early Access was not part of the deal, especially with the sheer number of spoilers going around the web, we’ll just need to keep our suits ready to go for its official launch on October 20, 2023.

No matter if you played and platinumed the first two games in the series, or Spider-Man 2 is going to be your introduction to the new generation of consoles, be prepared for everything you’ll experience by checking out our section below. Looking to find out if you’ll be able to play at the fastest framerate possible on launch day? Don’t worry, we’ve already got your back.
