Marvel’s Avengers Spider-Man Gameplay Shows Our Web-Slinging Hero Trying His Best

IGN had an exclusive hands-on preview for the gameplay of Spider-Man, but they were nice enough to post a five-minute video showcasing the abilities and the in-game looks and animations of the character.

You can check out the full gameplay reveal below. We’ve been waiting for a long time to see the PlayStation exclusive character in battle, and well, it doesn’t look great. He’s trying his best, but when you remove any sense of verticality from the character, he loses his identity.

Especially since we’ve had two exceptional Spider-Man games from  Insomniac in the past few years. Our Queens-based hero in Marvel’s Avengers looks stiff and a little janky. You can make your own assumptions about the new hero to the roster, but it’s certainly a take on the character.

Spider-Man is released for free on PlayStation versions of Marvel’s Avengers on November 30, 2021.
