Minecraft Can You Beat

Is it Possible to Beat Minecraft? – Answered

All ends in The End

When you talk about sandbox games, is hard not to mention Minecraft as one of the biggest names in the genre. You fight your way to survive while exploring various biomes and creating new buildings, engines and much more. All using only what you could gather from your environment.

But having this absolute liberty can actually become something negative. You can do anything you want, but what if you want to beat the game? Does Minecraft have a final objective set in stone or is your fate decided by your hands alone in this cubic world?

Can You Actually Beat Minecraft?

Yes, there’s actually an End to Minecraft. And quite literally. You can witness the Ending Poem and the game’s credits after beating the Ender Dragon at The End and jumping into the returning portal, which marks the literal end of the game. Quite poetic, isn’t it?

The Dragon will spawn as soon as you set your feet at The End, but reaching the area is quite difficult. Not to mention killing the dragon itself, a flying enemy that boasts powerful attacks and is difficult to hit. Visiting The End will require you to obligatorily make a trip to the Nether first.

The reason for that is that you have to get Blaze Rods from Blazes, a mob that only spawns in the Nether. You’ll also need some Ender Pearls from Endermans, another common enemy in the area. You’ll use them to make Eyes of Ender, which will be your ignition key to the End Portal.

And where is that portal? Back at the Overworld inside any Stronghold. So let’s break it down: You need materials from the Nether, locate and fight your way through a Stronghold, find a portal inside it and, finally, reach The End and defeat the final boss. Whew!

You can now jump at the portal, sit back and enjoy your so-deserved ending. This is officially considered as “beating” the game, although you just return to your set spawn point and can still enjoy your world exploration freely.

There’s never a “definitive end” to a Minecraft world, except when you erase it. But killing the dragon is, although never specified in-game, the final objective and biggest challenge in it. Make sure you go prepared with the best equipment and enchantments you can find.
