Is Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on PC? – Answered

Will PC players get to experience Rebirth too?

Every SOLDIER and his Red XIII is eager to play Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, the upcoming sequel to Final Fantasy 7 Remake which releases on April 29, 2024. But, with a release only confirmed for PlayStation 5 at this time, will we see FF7 Rebirth on PC too?

Will FFVII Rebirth Be Released on PC?

At the time of writing this piece, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has no release date set for PC. It will launch exclusively on PlayStation 5. This differs from its predecessor, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, which launched on PlayStation 4, and later on PlayStation 5 as Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade. Truthfully, it is unlikely that the PlayStation 4 could capture Sephiroth’s hair in all of its glory, which means fans must upgrade if they want to dive deeper into his story.

On the other hand, it is likely that PC players will eventually be able to play FF7 Rebirth in the future. Nothing is confirmed yet, but Final Fantasy 7 Remake did find its way to PC over a year and a half after the game was first released. With the same upgraded version, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. It seems likely then that if there were to be any DLC planned, a PC release would follow a similar pattern by being held off until the DLC had launched. But it is still early days, and this is just speculation based on the release of Final Fantasy VII Remake.

So, if you have a PS5 and don’t want to wait, your best bet is to play it on the console when release day comes, or now with its demo. But if you’re happy to wait or don’t own the console, it’s likely that you’ll be able to play it on PC eventually, just maybe not in the immediate future.
