To zoom with your GPS in Sons of the Forest, simply click the middle mouse button. This will provide you with a few different zoom levels to choose from.

Even though this was taught in the tutorial, many impatient players (like me) were too busy messing around with Kelvin and missed the prompt. Luckily, after accidentally clicking middle mouse I discovered that the GPS is far more useful than I initially realized.

After zooming out you will come to discover that the map of Sons of the Forest seems absolutely immense. There are tons of caves and locator points, all just waiting for you to explore them. Be careful, however, as caves are very dangerous and require a plethora of weapons.

It is especially important to get a lay of the land in Sons of the Forest, and fully zooming out of your GPS Map will allow you to be aware of everything around you.
