After playing enough Sons of the Forest, you will eventually muster up the courage to check out one of those purple exclamation marks seen on your GPS. Once you make it to the marker, you will notice either a grave or a hanging body. Either way, attached to the body will be a GPS locator that you can collect. However, it is not obvious how to use the darn thing… Without further ado, continue reading to learn how to use the GPS Locator in Sons of the Forest!

How to Use the GPS Locator in Sons of the Forest
Using a GPS Locator will place a permanent marker on your map when held or placed in a location.
You can place a GPS Locator at any of your bases or any area of your choice. Simply plant a stick into the ground and place the GPS Locator on top. This will place a permanent marker on your GPS map.
You can also place a GPS Locator on Virginia. Simply walk up to her and access her inventory. Once you press Q or R you will find the GPS Locator. Click on it and you will attach it to her body, which allows the marker to follow her around.
Keep in mind, Virginia will have to trust you for you to be able to access her inventory.
You can also scroll through the various markers by equipping the GPS Locator in your hands. This will allow you to swap between various marker pictures to differentiate the meaning of the marker.
It is still not known if it is possible to remove the GPS Locator from Kelvin or Virginia. There is likely one way, although I do not have the guts (or desire) to try it…
