Head to the right of the main entrance and flip the switch by holding “Triangle” to wake up the dead businessmen. When you flip the switch, the box in the center of the room will start to fall and will force Beck and his gang to get up and run. Each time you find them, they try a new trick on you, and this one is just as bad as the others. Even if you know it’s all a bad trick from Beck, you still need to play along in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

Swinging at them as they pretend to snooze won’t force them to wake up. It’s as if your sword doesn’t exist at all. Instead, walk back outside and when you face the entrance, take a right. The switch can be easy to miss, which is why it’s easier to just step outside and reset. It took me a solid minute or two to find the switch because I didn’t pay enough attention to the box. It’s a couple of minutes I deserve to lose.

When Beck’s Badasses finally get up, they won’t be done playing around. Cloud and his party still need to take down the gang of idiots in one last showdown. Of course, it’s an easy fight that’s only made slightly more difficult by their modded Sweeper. Dispatch them per usual and you can have a real conversation with them. Beck will offer up the Protorelic to Cloud for 2,000 Gil, which you need to pay to finish this quest for Chadley.

After all the Beck fights are over, don’t forget to check up on your Weapon Proficiency in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
