How to Use Silver Key and Get Purified Water in Tenebris Somnia

You’ll need the Purified Water to cleanse the Cursed Film Canister and obtain the third Film Canister. Sanguis hands you a Silver Key and some instructions on what to do. Here’s how to use the Silver Key and get Purified Water in Tenebris Somnia.
How to Get and Use the Silver Key in Tenebris Somnia
After interacting with the Cursed Film Canister twice in the Film School, you’ll be teleported to the Film Studio Lobby, where Sanguis will be sitting in a chair. Approach Sanguis and go through his dialogue options until you can select SPELL. Continue speaking with him until he writes information in your Old Book and gives you the Silver Key.
Once you have the Silver Key, return to the apartment building and take the elevator to the second floor. Enter Ivan’s apartment and head into the bathroom. You’ll find a locked cabinet next to the sink. Stand in front of it and use the Silver Key to unlock it and obtain the Silver Bottle.
How to Fill the Silver Bottle With Three Doses of Water
The Silver Bottle needs to be filled with three doses of water before you can purify it. To do this, you’ll need to use the bottle at three different save points scattered throughout the building. Note that doing so will make those save points stop functioning. The best save point to preserve is the one in the Film School since you’ll be going there a bit more often.
The easiest route is to visit the save points in the following order:
- Second Floor Apartment Bedroom: Head into the bedroom of Ivan’s apartment on the second floor and use the Silver Bottle on the save point.
- Third Floor Apartment Office: Take the elevator to the third floor, enter Ivan’s apartment, and use the Silver Bottle on the save point inside the office.
- First Floor Bathroom: Head to the bathroom near the Dinner Room on the right side of the first floor and use the Silver Bottle on the save point.
After interacting with all three save points, you’ll have the Bottle With Three Doses of Water in your inventory.
How to Get Purified Water in Tenebris Somnia
Before you can purify the water, you’ll need the Red Pentacle Stone, which drops after defeating the Fumus boss if you haven’t already got it. This stone is required to open a door that gives access to moonlight. You can check our full walkthrough, which includes some tips on how to beat the tall faceless boss.
Once you’ve collected the stone, return to the third floor of the apartment building and enter Ivan’s apartment. Use the Red Pentacle Stone on the locked bathroom door to open it. You can also collect the Chemicals from the table inside the bathroom, as you’ll need them for photo development later.
Next, return to the second floor and head all the way left to enter the Film Studio Lobby. Find the white door marked with a red symbol and use the Red Pentacle Stone to unlock it. The stone will crumble after you’ve used it on both doors.
Enter the hotel room and go through the dialogue. Afterward, approach the window where Julia’s statue is standing. Use the Bottle With Three Doses of Water on the window to expose it to moonlight and turn it into Purified Water.
With the Purified Water collected, return to the first floor of the Film School and enter the room containing the Cursed Film Canister. Use the Purified Water on the canister to cleanse it and obtain the third Film Canister.
You can now take the Film Canister to the Projection Room to unlock the final box in the theater and collect the Cold Chisel, which you’ll need to access the next area.
