How to Use Pal Distillation and Increase Pal Star Levels in Palworld

As you reach the late game, you may feel like your Pals don’t pack the punch they used to. And when it comes down to whittling max-level bosses with 100,000 health pools, any damage boost you can get is all important. And that’s where Pal Distillation comes in.

Pal Distillation is the way to push your Pal past its max stats, giving it a significant boost each time you hit a level. But it isn’t easy to distill pets. Here’s how it works.

How to Unlock Pal Distillation in Palworld

First, you’ll need the Pal Essence Consdenser. Pal Distillation can be unlocked as early as level 14 in the Technology Menu. But to get it, you’ll need Ancient Technology Points. You’ll get Ancient Technology Points for defeating Alpha Pals and the bosses in the towers scattered around Palworld.

Once you’ve unlocked Pal Distillation, you’ll need to install it on your base. It will require the following materials:

• Paldium Fragment x 20
• Ingot x 20
• Ancient Civilization Parts x 5

How to Use the Pal Essence Condenser in Palworld

With The Pal Essence Condenser unlocked and in your base, it’s time to get set up. I highly recommend accessing your Pal Base menu and sorting your Pals by their element or number. This will make it far less time-consuming to find Pals.

Next, select the Pal you want to enhance. This is the Pal you’ll keep and will eventually see the benefits of your Pal Distillation. All the other Pals will be consumed.

Then, select the Pals to consume. The Pals must be the same species as your base Pal. The Pals consumed by the Pod will be distilled down to their base essence, removing them completely from your Pal Base and game. Each Pal you consume will give you one point towards ranking your base Pal up.

So, for example, to get my Kelpsea Ignis to star level 1, I needed nine total Kelpsea Ignis. One for the base and eight for fodder. You can tell which Kelpsea is my base because it has a blue circle and check. The golden Kelpsea Ignis will all be consumed to boost the blue Kelpsea.

Doing this will increase your base Pal’s Partner Skill by +1 and increase their max stats in HP, attack, and defense. Using this, in combination with the Statue of Power, can turn any Pal into a god in its own right.
