How to Use Floo Powder in Hogwarts Legacy

Speak Loud and Clear When Using Floo Powder and Say: Diagon Alley!

The wizardry world of Hogwarts Legacy is a vast, endless open map. Travelling in the magical world can become time-consuming, so flying or running around from point A to point B will become draining and monotonous, ultimately spoiling your experience.

Thankfully, the developers have covered every aspect of the game and thought of everything that will keep Hogwarts Legacy entertaining and fun to play. Honestly, what’s an immersive open-world RPG without fast travel? A slow and long death — and we can’t have that now — can we? No, we’re meant to save Hogwarts.

So exactly how is it possible to fast travel, and what does Floo Powder have to do with a quick trip in Hogwarts Legacy? Well, Floo Powder has everything to do with the fast travel ability in the game.

How to Use Floo Powder in Hogwarts Legacy

First, we need to know what Floo Powder is if you’re unfamiliar with the Harry Potter series by British author J. K. Rowling, and if you are new to the wizardry world.

What’s Floo Powder in the Magical World of Harry Potter?

Floo Powder is a magical powder used to rapidly and magically transport from one point to another via the Floo Network, and is linked to most fireplaces. Floo Powder in the game is referred to as Floo Flames.

How Does It Work in Hogwarts Legacy?

In Hogwarts Legacy, it does the same thing and is something you’ll use throughout the game to get around Hogwarts Castle and Hogsmeade Village.

Unlocking the fast travel ability is relatively easy and one you’ll obtain early on in the game. Once you’ve reached the castle after an exhilarating start to the game, you’ll get a tour of Hogwarts Castle. After touring and learning the fundamentals of the school of witchcraft and wizardry, you’ll receive your Field Guide.

When you’ve got your Field Guide, Professor Weasley (is it Ron’s mom?) will walk you around to get you to your first class. On route, she will teach you how to use your Field Guide and explain its use. One of the things learned in the game’s directory is Floo Flames and how it enables warp-speed transportation.

How to Unlock Floo Flames

Floo Flames become available for fast travel after discovering the specific location. All unlocked Floo Flames are green, while inactive and still to be uncovered are grey.
