Mastery Rank in The First Descendant can be upgraded by visiting Prime Hands in Albion. It is a console located on the left section of Albion when players spawn in the central area.

Players will not be able to use Prime Hands until they have leveled up their Master Rank. However, it is much different than the character rank. Character rank increases by destroying enemies and completing missions, and is for the currently equipped Descendant. Mastery Rank is on an account level, so players can earn XP by completing missions, raising Weapon Proficiency, and leveling up multiple Descendants.

That means players should be researching new Descendants and constantly using new weapons to level them up, which will increase your Mastery Rank. Upgrading your Master Rank will come will new bonuses that will affect all Descendants that the player owns.
