How to Unlock Heritage Armor in WoW Dragonflight

A just-right fit for any race.

We all like to look our best, right? What if I told you that many of WoW’s races have their very own, hand-crafted armor sets suited just for them? That’s right – no awkward helmet clipping here! I’m talking, of course, about Heritage Armor. So how do we get it? Well, first, we should find out who can get it.

How to Unlock Heritage Armor in WoW

To unlock the set for any given race, simply level them to 50 without using Character Boost tokens or Race Change functions. That means you’ll just need to create a new character of any spec with the race whose armor you want to unlock, then level them naturally (Heirloom pieces and experience potions are allowed!).

When you hit 50, you’ll be given a short quest to complete to unlock the armor appearances.

Keep in mind, Heritage Armor can only be used by the race it was made for. No mixing and matching different Heritage sets, unfortunately. The good news about this is that they fit their respective models miraculously well. It’s almost like they were made for them!

And if you want Heritage Armor for a race not listed above – fret not. Heritage Armor is planned to come to all races eventually, but naturally, these complex sets take time to develop! The good news is we’re getting Forsaken and Night Elf sets in the next patch, Fury Incarnate, which you can read about here.
