Unlocking Classes in Heroes of Hammerwatch 2

Players can choose from four classes when starting out in Heroes of Hammerwatch 2: Warrior, Paladin, Wizard, and Ranger. These classic fantasy archetypes function just as you’d expect, offering plenty of variety in the early runs. However, players can unlock three more classes as they explore the many stages of Heroes of Hammerwatch 2. This includes the Rogue, Warlock, and Sorcerer.

The unlocking process is straightforward. During one of the stages listed below, thoroughly explore the area while keeping a close eye on your minimap (and larger map) until you find a friendly NPC representing a locked class. Simply interact with them once, and you’ll see a prompt indicating that the respective class has been unlocked. For example, here I’m speaking to an NPC representing the Rogue class who will later show up in the main hub area as well.

No resources are required to unlock them. These NPCs representing the locked classes can be found in the following stages in Heroes of Hammerwatch 2:

Once a class has been unlocked, hit “Escape” while you’re in the town and select “Switch Character”. You will now be able to choose the new class while creating an additional character.
