How to Split Stacks in Inventory in Paleo Pines – Answered

It’s probably not wise to carry 99 pieces of Stone everywhere..

Paleo Pines is a cozy game that allows you to take day-by-day as easy as they come, now if only I could figure out the basic controls, I might make it a bit easier on my inventory.

How to Split Stacks in Your Inventory in Paleo Pines? – Answered

Footage Recorded by Prima Games

To split a stack in Paleo Pines, the player must hover their arrow above the stack of items within their inventory or within their storage. Then, they must click and hold the Control Key, and by scrolling with their Mouse Button, players can adjust how many items remain in the Inventory/Storage and how much they can hold. Another version players can use is by clicking and holding Control, then clicking and holding the Left Mouse Button, which will evenly split the stack of items for the player instead.

  • Click and Hold CTRL
  • Click LMB to Split Inventory -or- Scroll Mouse Wheel to Change Stack Number

Instead of Control, use RT (Right Trigger) and hold down on the controller. Then they click the A Button, so the stack will split in half into two separate stacks for the player to claim one or the other to bring along! For dividing up the stack manually, you’ll follow the same process of holding the RT button and using the left controller to manipulate the inventory numbers up and down.

  • Click and Hold RT
  • Click A Button to Split Inventory -or- Scroll Left Controller to Change Stack Number

Whether you are pulling items from Storage to place into your Inventory or vice versa, this will surely help you sort out your items later.

Players can hold up to 99 max of certain items within their inventory, but after that, it’ll need to go into some kind of storage. Players can drop items onto the ground to retrieve them later since the despawn rate in Paleo Pines is pretty forgiving. Thus far, the home storage system can hold up to 999 stacks of items and maybe more, but this gives the average farmer plenty of room to work with when gathering multiple resources.

Players can also upgrade their inventory by going to Orani to upgrade their Backpack or by sewing Pockets into thief clothes. Naturally, upgrading the backpack will give players much more inventory space than the one space allocated by an extra pocket, but the backpack will be a higher order to fill. It’ll take the player not only to buy a few outfits from Orani and sew a few pockets to get there but also, eventually, Orani will offer a bag upgrade that’ll open up the player’s resource space much more.
