During your travels, you may encounter mysterious statues with small plaques attached to its base. On these plaques are ominous messages carved into their surfaces that you can solve for rewards. If you are curious, continue reading to discover how to solve faded plaque riddles in Diablo 4.

Faded Plaque Statue Riddle Solution in Diablo 4

Faded plaque puzzles require you to use a specific emote while standing in the glowing circle on the ground before the statue. The emote you use is based on the plaque’s text, which you can read by interacting with it. You’ll gain rewards in return that you otherwise wouldn’t receive elsewhere!

Let’s use a quick example I found in-game during my Diablo 4 adventures. Upon reading the text, I found this statue in southern Fractured Peaks and found the word “Gratitude” in large letters. What did gratitude remind me of? Saying “thank you!” I equipped the thanks emote, used it, and got a special reward.

The words and rewards you get vary from statue to statue. If you see a phrase like “Bid farewell”, you’ll have to use the bye emote. Similarly, “Atone” requires the sorry emote, and “Greet” needs the hello emote. Keep an eye on these context clues to determine the correct emote!

Likewise, your rewards vary, with the picture above showing the Favor the Virtuous perk. With this, after killing an enemy, a ton of gold appeared on the ground for me to collect! The rewards you get from these are unlike others in the game, so it’s worth looking around for these plaques!

Where to Find Faded Plaques in Diablo 4

Faded plaques can appear anywhere in Sanctuary. Their spawn locations are randomized, so where you find a statue differs from where I spot them. As a general rule of thumb, keep an eye out for these statues as you venture around the map, and get ready to emote after reading the plaque!
