Nuclear Nightmare is an online cooperative horror survival game where players must work together to evacuate from the harsh weather and alien parasites in Antarctica. Teammates can be revived, unlike in the movie The Thing, so here is how to revive in Nuclear Nightmare.
How to Revive Players in Nuclear Nightmare
Players in Nuclear Nightmare can be revived by visiting any computer terminal and selecting the Reinforce option. These glowing laptops can be found inside a building at most of the sites on the map. The Shelter does not contain a laptop, while others may require turning on a generator before the building can be entered.
While this may sound easy, there are a few requirements that must be met before a player can be revived. The first is that the host has not selected the Disable Reinforcements option in the World Settings. Leaving this blank will ensure that players can be revived after death.
The next step is to complete one Classified Objective, which will give you one Reinforcement Token. The full list of Classified Objectives can be found on the map screen. They are already necessary to do as they reward players with Classified Materials, a resource required to call in the evacuation helicopter.
The difficulty of the world will also affect how many Reinforcement Tokens can be used. Here is how many Reinforcement Tokens can be used per difficulty setting:
- Easy: Eight Reinforcement Tokens
- Normal: Six Reinforcement Tokens
- Hard: Four Reinforcement Tokens
- Nightmare: Two Reinforcement Tokens
Unfortunately, deceased players who were infected cannot be revived. Players attacked by an alien parasite while alive will stay dead after dying, regardless of how. However, Nuclear Nightmare is currently in early access and the revive mechanic can change. The developer is looking into it.
