Creative mode in Minecraft is a great place to make whatever you want, but also some players in survival mode want to build with style, and nothing allows you to add your own stamp on things like custom colors. In order to paint things, you need dyes, and in this guide we will learn how to create Green Dye in Minecraft and what can be done with it.

How to Make Green Dye in Minecraft

In Minecraft, you can make 16 different dyes, and green is one of the easiest to craft. To create Green Dye in Minecraft you will need:

  • Cacti (You can pick it up in Desert or Badlands biomes)
  • Furnace (Made easily with just Cobblestone)
  • Fuel for the Furnace (Coal, Charcoal, or anything else that can burn)

Putting Cacti Block in the Furnace will create a Green Dye.

What is Green Dye Used for in Minecraft?

To begin with, you can use Green Dye to paint any of the following items in the “Cacti Green” color:

  • Banners
  • Beds
  • Candles
  • Shulker boxes
  • Terracotta
  • White carpets
  • Wool

And if you want a building material in green color, you can combine Green Dye with the following materials:

  • Green Dye + Sand or Gravel = Green Concrete Powder
  • Green Dye + Glass or Glass Panes = Green Stained Glass
  • Green Dye + Firework Materials = Green Firework

Also, you can use Green Dye to make other Dye colors:

  • Green Dye + Blue Dye = Cyan Dye
  • Green Dye + Lapis Lazuli = Cyan Dye
  • Green Dye + White Dye = Lime Dye
  • Green Dye + Bonemeal = Lime Dye

And that would be all the applications for Green Dye in Minecraft, now go wild and paint everything green! Have fun.
