Regardless, you’ll need a place to store them all unless you want your server cluttered with stuff no one wants to be bothered with. That’s where a chest comes in handy. Here is how to make a chest in Minecraft.

How to Make a Chest in Minecraft

Chests can be obtained in various ways, but the simplest is to craft them. You can make a chest by placing eight planks of any kind on the outer border of a crafting table. This means you must fill every table block except the center. You can use any type of plank you like.

Planks are crafted by taking logs, stems, wood, or bamboo and placing them in the middle of a crafting table. Every piece of wood you put on will make four planks. So its conversion rate is to your benefit. Chop down a ton of wood, and you’ll have plenty of planks to use.

Another way to obtain chests is to find them in villages or dungeons. If you break a chest with any tool, you’ll be able to pick up the chest and put it in your inventory. Be aware that breaking a chest will also scatter everything inside of it. You can not pick up normal chests and keep the inventory inside.

You can also put two chests next to each other to connect them and give yourself more space to store items.
