Can You Leave Dungeons in Diablo 4?

There are two ways to leave dungeons in Diablo 4:

  • Teleport out using fast traveling
  • Use Leave Dungeon on your emote wheel

Regardless of the method, you’ll have to wait briefly for an animation sequence, so make sure no enemies are nearby!

How to Leave a Dungeon With the Emote Wheel in Diablo 4

A quick way to instantly leave a dungeon, especially if you’re early in the game and don’t want to teleport all the way to a town, is to use your emote wheel! To do this, bring up your emote wheel using either E on your keyboard or up arrow on your controller and select “Leave Dungeon”. After a brief teleport sequence, you’ll arrive right outside the dungeon entrance!

Alternatively, if you want to go to a town, you can use Waypoints to fast travel. If you have a Waypoint unlocked, open your map in the dungeon and select “Sanctuary: Estuar” to see the surface. From here, pick a Waypoint to begin teleporting!

If you don’t want to go to a town but still want to leave the dungeon, click the dungeon entrance icon on your map to teleport out to the surface. Doing this is the same as using the emote, except you do it through the map. This, alongside Waypoint fast traveling, was my go-to method for most of my playthrough!
