How to Get Gallowvine in Diablo 4

These gallows are helpful.

Gallowvine is one of the many crafting resources that you can collect in Diablo 4, and if you plan to craft elixirs or Health Potions, you’ll need a healthy supply of plants. Luckily, the vine is one of the most common plants around, and I’m here to help you farm some. Here’s where to get Gallowvine in Diablo 4.

You can get Gallowvine by collecting plants around Scosglen or by refining materials at an Alchemist. Scosglen is the second major region in Diablo 4, and Gallowvine is one of the main resources in the area. When I searched around the Braestig Waypint, I found multiple spawn points for the plant. Wailing Hills is a great place to search for the resource, but it’s not the only one.

Because plants typically correlate with a certain zone, unless they are designated as rare, Gallowvine will appear all over Scosglen. Any sub-region will have more than a few spawns. I like to take my horse and simply speed around the small paths to find as many spawns as possible. And when you return in the future, the same spawns will be waiting.

Where to Find Gallowvine in Diablo 4:

  • Search for plant spawns around Scosglen and the Fractured Peaks.
  • Complete side quests for Herb Cache rewards.
  • Refine plant materials at an Alchemist in exchange for Gallowvine.

Sometimes, you can find Gallowvine in regions like the Fractured Peaks. But I wouldn’t waste your time in a worse region. You would be better off refining materials like Biteberry or Reddamine at an Alchemist.

If you want a more action-packed way to find these, then you can also take on Scosglen world events. Any time you complete a world event, there will be a final chest containing armor and regional plants. That means Scosglen chests are bound to drop the Gallowvine you need for your collection in Diablo 4.

What is Gallowvine Used for in Diablo 4?

Gallowvine is a common material used for refining and crafting elixirs. As one of the most common plants within Sanctuary, it’s a great source for exchanging with an Alchemist to earn some rare plants instead. Even if you don’t just want the vine for some exchanges, you will need it for Seasonal potion upgrades and plenty of base elixirs that boost your stats.

Elixirs That Use Gallowvine:

  • Assault Elixir – Increase Attack Speed
  • Acrobatics Elixir – Reduce the cooldown of your Evade
  • Crushing Elixir – Increase Overpower damage
  • Precision Elixir – Increase Critical Strike chance and damage
  • Resistance Potions – Increase Resistance to specified elements

There are other recipes for this plant, but as you can see, nearly all of them require the vine as a base component. So make sure to stop whenever you see it on the ground and collect as much as you can for the journey ahead.

As you save up more plants, you can also head to the Alchemist within any major town and refine those resources. Refining allows you to trade plants for rarer options or reduce them for something like Gallowvine. However, you will need to take on some Helltides in Diablo 4 if you want to get some of the Fiend Roses later.
