How to Get Water Eggs in Animal Crossing New Horizons’ Bunny Day Event
There are multiple egg types in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, each with specific spawn locations and gathering methods. While there are several ways to get Bunny Day eggs, there’s one main strategy for each that you’ll want to learn. Water eggs are no exception!
With that said, let’s talk about some ways you can get water eggs.
Fishing For Eggs
Going fishing is the main way you’ll find water eggs during Bunny Day! The eggs appear in the water randomly, disguised as regular fish shadows. While you’re not guaranteed to get an egg each time you cast your line, there is a chance you’ll get one instead of a fish. If you’re trying to find these eggs specifically, focus on throwing your line toward medium size fish shadows, as these are more likely to give you an egg than other shadows.
Gifts From Villagers
As you’re running around the maps, villagers will occasionally run up to you with an exclamation point above their heads. When they do this during Bunny Day, there is a chance they’ll give you five free eggs, with a chance of them being water eggs. However, you may get a recipe instead, so watch what they’re giving you!
Similarly, you can also trade eggs with Zipper T. Bunny. If you have an overabundance of a specific egg type, talk to Zipper on Easter Day to exchange them for different ones, allowing you to put the extras to good use! You can either use this strategy to get more water eggs or, if you end up getting a bunch using the methods above, trade them for other eggs!
