Where to Find Veiled Crystals in Diablo 4

When you look for Veiled Crystals in your inventory’s materials and stats menu, you will find your total under the “Salvage” category. This menu name helps hint at how you get this particular crystal. That is right; it is time to start salvaging!

More specifically, you have to salvage rare-tier or higher gear for a chance to get Veiled Crystals. Regular and magic, or grey and blue-tier equipment, will only give you materials like iron chunks and rawhide. You will have to target rare gear, which appears as yellow-shaded armor and weapons.

It is important to note that rare gear is not guaranteed to give you Veiled Crystals. Instead, you may get iron and rawhide again or blue-tier materials like superior leather. To put this into perspective, I have around 100 Veiled Crystals and over 800 iron chunks in my inventory as of writing this!

In contrast, salvaging legendary or higher equipment also rewards you with items like the Abstruse Sigil and Baleful Fragment, meaning focusing on rare gear is better.

As you play through Diablo 4, you will naturally pick up plenty of weapons and armor, including rare-tier gear that you will replace with better versions. If you want to get more quickly, you can purchase mystery items from Purveyors of Curiosities for a chance to get some in exchange for Murmuring Obols.
