How to Get Tomato Seeds in Palworld

The first step to growing tomatoes is buying tomato seeds, which you can obtain by defeating Pals such as Broncherry and Mossanda. You can also purchase seeds from merchants in Fisherman’s Point and Duneshelter for 200 gold coins each.

By getting tomato seeds, you can build a tomato plantation after reaching level 32 and infinitely farm them at your base. Alternatively, you can buy fully grown tomatoes from merchants for 150 gold if you want to skip this process.

Which Pals Drop Tomato Seeds in Palworld?

Below is a complete list of every Pal that drops tomato seeds in Palworld:

  • Mossanda
  • Dinnossom Lux
  • Vaelet
  • Broncherry
  • Wumpo Botan

Your best bet is to search for Mossanda on the land northwest of Marsh Island, as this Pal spawns around the entire area. Alternatively, if you’re interested in fighting field bosses, you can find a level 23 Broncherry east of Mt. Obsidian.

Several of these Pals drop other items alongside tomato seeds, so you may get other valuable materials along the way.

Which Merchants Sell Tomatoes and Tomato Seeds in Palworld?

The two Palworld merchants that sell tomatoes are the Fisherman’s Point and Duneshelter Wandering Merchants. You’ll find them at coordinates (-480, 745) and (357, 346), respectively. Each one sells tomatoes and seeds for the same price, so it’s up to you which you prefer.

While buying seeds allows you to build a plantation and grow tomatoes indefinitely, buying the fruit outright lets you bypass this, allowing you to obtain and cook with it earlier than level 32.

How to Grow Tomatoes in Palworld

If you choose to buy tomato seeds to grow, your next step will be to build a tomato plantation after reaching level 32 and unlocking its technology node using two tech points. From here, you need the following materials to build it:

  • Tomato Seeds (3)
  • Wood (70)
  • Stone (50)
  • Pal Fluids (5)

Alongside tomato seeds, you also need wood, stone, and Pal Fluids to build the plantation.

After building your farm, it’ll behave the same as berry and wheat plantations. By assigning Pals to plant, water, and harvest the crops, it’ll become entirely self-sufficient, allowing you to obtain tomatoes while focusing on world exploration, combat, or anything else your heart desires.

While some, like omelets and salad, are available to make right in a cooking pot, others require upgrading to an electric kitchen after reaching level 41. Fortunately, many of these foods, particularly pizza, are considered some of the best foods to feed your Pals, so it’s worth getting your hands on plenty of tomatoes during your playthrough.
