How to Get the Pulse Rifle in Remnant 2

A lot of pre-requisites, that's for damn sure.

When it comes to the secrets in Remnant 2, some of them can be extremely complex with too many extra steps to keep track of. One great example of this is the Archon Archetype, which requires you to have the Corrupted status effect in the Labyrinth, somewhere where it’s notoriously difficult to get the effect, at a particular door with the Master Portal Key in hand. As of writing, no one’s gotten that reward, so we’ll see how that progresses. One weapon is like that in complexity but is far more possible with the right luck. Here’s how to get the Pulse Rifle in Remnant 2.

Where to Find the Pulse Rifle in Remnant 2

To get the Pulse Rifle, you’ll need the stars to align with three specific conditions met, all in N’Erud. The first is to be able to speak with the Custodian, who can be found in a few places depending on the circumstance. In my run, I found him at the Ascension Spire. The second and third conditions involve two specific N’Erud locations spawning, the Terminus Station and Dormant N’Erudian Facility. At these two locations, you’ll need to acquire the Decorum Cipher and the Memory Core II respectively.

The Decorum Cipher can be found once you’ve completed the Terminus Station encounter. At the checkpoint, head right and under some wires, followed by going under more wires nearby to find a ladder. Head up and back toward the train, only this time jump on it from the ledge you’re at. Jump into the hole, and you’ll find both the Decorum Cipher and the Atom Smasher melee weapon. With the Memory Core II, you’ll want to complete the encounter and acquire the Biome Control Glyph. With it in hand, find a way back to the beginning of the encounter and use it on the nearby door to acquire the Memory Core II.

With both items in hand, make your way back to the Custodian and the left of the entrance to his chambers. There will be a drop-down with a shop, though that isn’t what we want here. Instead, head down the right-side elevator (not the left side that goes up) and head toward the energy kiosk in the center. Insert both items and the opposite end of the room will house both the Core Booster amulet and the Pulse Rifle.
