How to Get the NieR Pod 602 Mount in FFXIV Patch 6.1

FFXIV Patch 6.1 brought in a bevy of new mounts for players to acquire and ride throughout the lands of Eorzea and beyond. One mount, in particular, caught the fan’s eye though. The Pod mount from NieR Automata. Here’s how to get the Pod 602 mount in FFXIV.

During Shadowbringer’s post-patch support the YorHa Dark Apocalypse raid series was added to the game. Bring hairstyles, armor, minions, and more to the world of FFXIV for players to obtain.

However, there was no mount from the raid at all. Now in 6.1, you can obtain a NieR Pod 602 mount from the Gold Saucer. All you’ll need to do is spend 300,000 MGP at The Gold Saucer to obtain the Pod 602 Identification Key which will grant you full access to the mount.

If you don’t have enough MGP (which is The Gold Saucer special currency) you’ll need to play some games like the mini Cactpot, Triple Triad, and put in some lottery tickets for the Jumbo Cactpot every Saturday.

It will take some time to get enough MGP but once you’ve got the Pod 602 mount you’ll be cruising through the air NieR style.

This is just one of the many additions in Patch 6.1. There’s still the Myths of the Realm Alliance Raid, new story content, and even a bunch of job changes.
